Posted by: | April 21, 2012 | 3 Comments |

My blog has gone haywire, the meta and categories, friends, recent posts etc has retreated to the bottom of my page! I tried using a different theme but that just made things worse, an extra meta, categories, friends etc appeared! one on the bottom and one on the side.

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!

Dolphins Of Japan

Posted by: | August 30, 2011 | 1 Comment |

Welcome into the world of japanese dolphins in Taiji.

Ric `O Barry who is an animal rights activist/flipper the dolphin trainer has been monitering “The Cove” in Taiji, japan and has made a chilling descovery.

(time warp) Ric O`Barry was “flipper`s” trainer, Flipper commited suicide in Ric`s arms because captive life was too hard for her. Ric was destraught and decided to try to free all captive Doplhins, in this effort Ric has been arrested many times and so is ultra carefull about japanese police and fishermen.

Ric and his small group of activists travelled to japan to see what this “cove” was about. and were horrified about what they saw. When the dolphins come on their migratory route allong the coast at Taiji the fishermen in their Punts surround the dolphins and put long poles into the water and bang on the end of them to make a wall of sound that the dolphins are terrified of. The fishermen drive the dolphins into the shallows of the cove and are closed in by long nets.

Dolphin trainers from dolphinariums are waiting at the shore to choose the dolphins they would like, the hundreds that arent chosen are slaughtered.

When you visit Japanese dolphinariums you can watch the trick dolphins and eat a dolphin at the same time! If you are reading this you might be thinking this is japanese culture, this is totally normal. but its not. most Japanese people don`t know about the cove slaughters, they are horrified.

Papillon Dogs

Posted by: | August 25, 2011 | No Comment |

I love Dogs, especially Papillons here a a few facts about them.

1. The name Papillon comes from a french word, butterfly. The Papillon`s ears are shaped like a butterfly, so there you go.

2. Some nicknames of the Papillon are the Squirrel dog and butterfly dog.

3. Papillons are not be agressive or shy, they are more likely to be racing around than sitting on the couch.

4. The Papillon`s lifespan can be anything from 12 to 16 human years.

5. Papillons used to be called toy spaniels.

This is Peppie the Papillon Dog, he is shown here at Slopen Main Beach; Digging.

On the 5th of may 2011 my mouse of 4 years & 2 months tragically died in his sleep. Mouse man had many nicknames, like Meesez, nibbler and noisy. he was the oldest mouse I have ever heard of, I found him when I was nine years or so. He got away three times (not far) the first time he escaped his house was a tarariun, the lid was agar and he jumped out and ran around on his lid for about a minuite but jumped in again luckily!

The second time was in his new mouse house, I had cleaned it out and put meesez back in his house when i realised that I haddent put his waterer in (it covers a hole) so I put my hand down to cover the hole at the same time mouse man jumped out the hole and landed on my hand! He looked around and diddn`t like it so he went back in.

The third time, I had bought him double storey house for christmas and it had pipes, tunnels and tubes going in every direction. It was a tunnel that was the problem, when I was taking him out to the sunroom one of the tubes fell off (the one he was in by the way) I told Dad that meesez got away so we locked the cat up and closed the sunroom doors ans looked around where could go and suddenly out of the corner of my eye there he  was under the small shelf, sitting worried. I told Dad and got his mushroom house and put it on the floor hoping that he would recognise it and go inside, he diddnt! he was off racing across the lino getting absolutely no traction what-so-ever but he was fast. he finally saw his mushroom and darted to it, luckily he went in!

Here is a hamster that I am pretending is a mouse, it looks just like meesez.

clydesdale racing!!

Posted by: | July 21, 2011 | No Comment |

Yes, I know! your thinking What! is she crazy? Well, no despite the fact that I race against an ex racehorse it`s fun! I always loose because I ride the Clydesdale, who takes me through the overhanging trees and branches. Once she took me through and there was a dead branch that got stuck in my helmet and I looked like an antelope for a few seconds, until I ripped it off. My opponent is Roy Boy, a chestnut thoroughbred with an attitude! Once he threw off his owner`s sister and backed into a dam. He would have been a fierce racer.

Here are some good sites with info about the Clydesdale and racing:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clydesdale_(horse)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budweiser_Clydesdales      (not exactly about Clydesdale’s as a whole, but good)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse_racing    (WARNING there is a horse fallen at the bottom of the page that may be distressing to some viewers)

Peppie part 2

Posted by: | July 7, 2011 | No Comment |

Continued from a previous post.

Dad and I took his burnt licence to the police station and he got a temporary licence until his new one arrived. I said “Whats the bet it was the rebels from up the road”

About three months later when i was back at school:

That cold morning when dad was taking me to school on the way to work on the street there were some council workers taking down a tree. i thought nothing of it.

That afternoon I saw the tree they took out, My drawstring bag was sitting so innocently, with my name still on it and all!I was so happy, But upset, so angry but confused, so amazed that my first thought was right, the rebels. in the back of my mind the whole time i seemed to know. But how?

The bag concealed nothing but a dead lady bug and a few sticks. :(

I was walking home from the bus stop, about three houses away from mine there is a low shrub. under the shrub…. Peppe’s Christmas Schmackos!

All in all I has wrapped to have my draw-string bag back.
